  1. Families are like branches on a tree, we may grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one. As I was driving home from work today a feeling came over me that Aunt Nolie was at a family reunion right now and the rest of us were not invited yet. I will miss her dearly as I miss all of my loving family. Love to all, Ruth Colbert Cody

  2. Hi my name is Kayla. I am a local bible student and I am so sorry for your loss. There is a very comforting scripture at Isaiah 258 that says soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can all look forward to a time when death will be not more. I hope that this scripture can bring some comfort during these difficult times.

  3. I don’t think I ever saw Ponola without a huge smile. She always gave you a good feeling to just be around her. She will be missed greatly. Heaven surely has a new Angel today. Prayers for the family. Judy Brown

  4. Ponola – we had so much fun together – so much laughter, tears, hugs and fun. As I sit here thinking of all the places we went together, a smile comes to my face. Then when I think of never being able to do them again, tears come to my eyes. You were truly the best friend I could ever have and how proud I was for you to tell me that I was the daughter God never blessed you with. I am happy you didn’t suffer, but I miss you so – Rest In Peace my dear friend, I love you! Prayers for Greg, Linda, John and Brandon and the rest of the family.

  5. You will be Missed by Many . I am thinking of Greg-Linda and the Family and will be praying for you all .

  6. Aunt Nolie I will miss you greatly. Going back to Rocky Mount for a visit will never be the same. At least you are now with Uncle Tinsy and Bruce which is a blessing in itself. I love you. Thinking of you and sending a prayer your way Greg. Diana Colbert Wehmeier

  7. So sad to here the news about Mrs. Colbert. She always gave a warm hug and would always tell me how she loved to watch Sherry and I dance. She was a very loving and giving lady. Loved to smile and tell you she loved you. She will be truly missed by all. God this is a special lady.

  8. The Bible gives us hope, over & over again. Jesus said I am the resurrection, & the life. He that exercises faith in me, though he dies, will come to life again. (John 1125) Jesus also said I am the vine & my Father is the cultivator. (John 151) The Bibles tells us that there will be no more tears, no pain, or sickness & death will be no more. (Rev. 213,4) What a wonderful time, we can look forward to, seeing our loved ones once again.

  9. Mrs. Colbert, I didn’t know you very well or for a long period of time but I do know you had a wonderful smile and a great personality. Any time I came into Osborne Jewelers and you were there we would always carry on a conversation about our families or other interesting things as we thought about them. You will be missed by many but I know I will see you again one day in our eternal home with Jesus. May God comfort your family and hold them tight in this time or sorrow.
