Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. So sorry to here this. I knew Ondra growing up in Hamlet, went to school with her brothers. We went to GA’s together and GA camp. She was a wonderful person, always smiling and so friendly. I remember when the new Pastoral home was build and I wanted a room just like Ondra’s. Still haven’t gotten my like Lavender room yet but one day will. My prayers go out to her family and friends.

  2. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Although I have not seen any of the family since our younger years, the Turner family was special in my life. Rev. Turner was my pastor and baptized me and I graduated from high school with Nelson and Janice and was in school with Scott and Ondra. I so enjoyed keeping up with and living vicariously through Ondra and Nelson’s many trips on their sailboat. No finer people exist and I know you will miss her tremendously but are comforted that you will join her when our Lord returns. Prayers are with you.

  3. I knew Ondra only for a short period of time, but I knew from the first time I met her that she was one of those rare gems that lived life to the fullest, loved everyone unconditionally, and always radiated a positive energy that touched everyone she met. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out, and I feel blessed and privileged that our paths crossed. It was a joy to be around her! Keeping her family in my thoughts and prayers… much love to all.♥️

  4. Normally, I never have a loss of words but today is the exception. I never will understand why bad things happen to good people. Ondra and I attended school from the 5th grade until graduation. Over the years, we have kept in touch and have been on their sailing stop schedule for many years. Nelson and I are submarine brothers. I loved her parents, all her brothers and Nelson and Ondra. As our east Hamlet friends slowly disappear, each loss gets harder to take. Every death calls for an explanation but even if we had explanations, it would not remove the hurt or resolve the loss in our hearts. Our love to all her family.

  5. Nelson and family, You know we cherished the time that we spent with Ondra whether on the computer or in person she was a joy and a delight. Our lives are better because we crossed paths with this sweet, sweet woman.. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. RIP Dear Ondra thy good and faithful servant..

  6. Ondra was a gift from God! Her smile and love for all was special! We enjoyed our shared moments on the water, in the water and playing Farkle! She will be in our hearts always and will forever be missed and loved. We were blessed to have had our moments together. Our prayers, love and hugs go out to her family who will miss her dearly. Rest well Ondra and we pray you’er with your Mom & Dad.

  7. To all the Turners, Ondra was a wonderful. loving lady- full of laughter and joy. I do so appreciate that she continued to reach out to our nephews, Sam and Spencer, over the years. It was great to meet more of the family at Sam’s wedding. It meant the world to him that you all were there. God bless you and may you feel His peace-her loss will not be an easy thing to bear. Nelson, my heart aches for you, Will , and Justin and the whole clan.

  8. Troy and I are so blessed to have had the privilege of knowing kind, sweet and wonderful Ondra. We are praying for all of you.

  9. I’d like to express my heartfelt condolences to the entire Turner family. You all were a part of my life at Second Baptist Church and I’m glad the Hendricks and Turners were friends. I’ve been gone for 37 year, but have enjoyed staying in touch with many of you through Facebook. I loved Ondra’s posts when sailing. She always seemed so happy. Nelson, I never really got to know you, but seeing you through Ondra’s eyes, you pass the test for a good man and husband. I’m so sorry for your loss. May God give you all comfort and peace through this difficult time. Tommy Hendrick

We enjoyed many good times at the Covington Reunions in Hamlet and Fayetteville, spending time together and enjoying the fellowship and meals.
