Ronald Lee Young

ROCKY MOUNT - Ronald Lee Young, age 85, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Born in Duplin County, NC on October 2, 1933, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Young and Jenny Hollingsworth Young. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Joyner Young; brothers, William "Billy" Young, Gary "Buck" Young; and sister, Kitty Woodcock. Ronald worked for Burlington Industries for over 40 years as a supply clerk retiring in April 2002. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. Ronald was a loving husband, father, brother, and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 17 years, Kaye Shearin Young; and the joy of this life, daughter, Rhonda Massey and husband, Tommy, of Nashville. He is also survived by brother, Glenn Young and wife, Geraldine; and sister, Earlene Jackson of Rocky Mount. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Brandon Dees and Pastor Dean Jackson officiating.
