Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
A friend of ours told me last night his daughter knew Sarah from line dancing days. He said when his daughter got the news Sarah had passed she was overcome with grief. I think Sarah had a ready smile and was friendly and engaging. Her love of dancing was a joy she shared with a lot of friends. Our loss is shared by many.

To the Brake Family. Sarah and I became friends while dancing in the 90’s. She had an unforgettable smile and love for life. We shared a lot of good times and a few concerts. Will lift you all up in prayer. B. J. Phelps
Patsy, Richard, and Scottie have lost our youngest sister to Diabetic Ketoacidosis. She struggled with this illness since the age of 12. Sarah enjoyed life-especially dancing. Please remember her with a smile and a prayer the next time you hit the dance floor.
Thank you Penny. You and your whole family are wonderful people and valued friends and are indeed part of our family. I think of your Dad often and have always enjoyed getting to see him. He has long been in my prayers daily. Thank you for your kind words and sentiment.

To the Brake Family – I am shocked and saddened by the news of Sarah’s passing. Sarah was a special Peace College classmate of mine and Maid of Honor in my wedding. We shared many happy memories together. She was always full of life and laughter and wanted others to feel good about themselves. She will be missed but please take comfort in knowing how many lives she touched with her smile and her wonderful sense of humor. Rest in Peace my dear friend!! Kim Boyette Denton
I would not say that I knew Sarah, but she always had a bright smile every time I saw her. We shared a few dances together and a few life stories. It did hit me hard today when I found out though because to me she was always someone you could see smiling and having a good time.
I did not know Sarah that well, but I often saw her out dancing and she was always so friendly and outgoing. I am so sorry to hear that she is gone but not forgotten.
I just saw on Facebook that Sarah was no longer with us on earth. I am saddened beyond words. She was a student of mine when she went through the police academy and our friendship remained over the years. She was my Family Feud Buddy on Facebook as well.. My heart hurts for her family and friends. May God comfort us all.
Sarah had a wonderful, gentle spirit. I will always treasure her friendship. The friendship span was over many years. The fun times at the LB as well as after the LB at Denny’s are priceless memories. She will be truly, truly missed. My sincere condolences to all the family members. May God grant you peace, comfort and understanding at this most difficult time. May she rest in peace. Until we meet again my dear Sarah!!! Every time I see that first ray of sunshine in a day I will think of you and your beautiful smile.
Such a beautiful life taken too soon. Your family and friends are in our prayers and I know you’re looking over them from the heavens

I have known Sarah since 5th grade when I started school at RMA. She was the 1st person to introduce herself. I will never forget her making me feel welcome in our small class of about 20 people. Rest in peace my friend. I will never for get you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Maria Andracchio Patterson
Sarah will surely be missed by the gang at the old Longbranch. I never saw her without a smile and a pleasant word. Not to mention a wonderful dance partner. Go rest high on that mountain,Your work here on earth is done. To her family I wish you peace and comfort and the confidence you will meet again just past those pearly gates. Butch Catlette
I’ve know Sarah for probably ten years. I would see her at our various dance venues and we had chances to talk and confide in one another. She was always so upbeat and high energy even during difficult times. I am shocked that she has passed. I will pray for the family. My heart goes out to you. Again I am surprised and saddened. Roy R. Jarvis
May God bless the Brake family with peace and comfort during this difficult time. I will always cherish the memory of your little sister. I am blessed for having known someone as special as Sarah for as many years. When I first met her, I was moved by her spirit for dancing, kindness to others, love for family and sentimental feelings about where she grew up. While Sarah is no longer with us, she will continue to live through the lives of those who knew her. I am saddened to think that Sarah is no longer with us on earth but I know she is now dancing among angels.
Sincere thoughts of peace and courage for the family. May you can be comforted by knowing there has been an interchange of love between you. Beautiful memories can be reflected upon. And know God is near all those broke at heart. Isaiah 5715

This video brings back so many happy memories. I thought we would have many more fun times together, but God must have needed another angel now. Sarah will always be my baby sister and I will always love her and miss her, but I will find peace in knowing she is at home again with Mama and Daddy. I believe she is dancing with the Angels in heaven. May God bless Sarah and bless all who have contacted family and who have Lifted Sarah up in prayer.
Brenda Mills My condolences to your family. Her candle burned out way too soon. Sarah & I worked together at the Administrative Office of the Courts ‘& I have known her for 25 yrs. I looked back at our last text message & we were planning to meet for lunch when she was in Raleigh. That lunch is never to be & it is a painful reminder that we should not let so much time pass before we do things. I am sure she will meet the Lord with that great big smile & sweet sweet personality.. My heartfelt sympathy to her family.
Patsy, Scottie and Richard, Please accept the condolences of our family on the passing of your sister. May the fond memories of her life carry and console you in the coming days. The family of Earl Wooten Hope Wooten Robbie Rick Mary Lu
So sorry that Sarah has passed. She was a joy to our dance community. She was always smiling, laughing and she loved to dance. We will miss her.
Scottie I loved the pic at 1425 of Sarah with Mrs. Peggy! I remember the dedication of you two to your mother while Mrs. Peggy lived in Raleigh with you in H-ham. Sarah was always so happy to be in her mother’s presence.
Our family is vexed due to Sarahs passing. Sarah was a second daughter to my mother, long-term friend of twenty years to me, and amused by my brother. We only wish we knew earlier her health was declining but could not reach her by phone or text in the past month. Now we know why. Fortunately, we did spend time with her in December and January, in which she touched our lives with her friendship, love, and insight during a very tumultuous time with my moms health, and for that we will always be incredibly thankful. The last text I received says Weshall talk whenever. Just know Im praying for you & love yall. BIG hugs! Well, Sarah, you will talk to us again..one day in Heaven, where I know you are with your mom whom you cherished so very much. And as for those hugs and prayers..we can use another guardian angel up in Heaven, my friend! Keep us all in those prayers and reign down those hugs. We love you, we miss you, were graced by your presence, and will see you again in Heaven. -The Williford Family-Garner, NC Vicky W. Croom-Alabama
