Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Over the years Ive shared some great times with Madeline, at UDC and other southern heritage events. She was filled with charm and charisma. I always choose her company because she had a way of making me feel at ease. She was my sister at UDC conventions and meetings. She and her Mother always held their Confederate ancestors, as well as the organization, in the highest esteem. She worked hard to advance a cause, devoting hours of work and dedication to increase awareness and to raise funds needed to restore the CSA Monument in Rocky Mt. NC. Whenever I was sick, she and her Mother fervently sent get-well cards. They made phone calls to encourage my spirits. Since 2000not a Christmas has gone by, not one, without a card. They are very special people. Madeline was a real treasure and she will be sorely missed. I pray that the Good Lord will look over Miss Ellie during this time of grief.

  2. Madeline was a special lady who gave her all to honor our confederate soldiers. She worked tirelessly on raising money for the repair of the confederate monument in Battle Park. She will be greatly missed by myself and members of Bethel Heroes 636 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Made God give peace and comfort to her family.

  3. We would like to express our deepest sympathy. May those precious memories be foremost in your hearts and minds during this difficult time. Isaiah 258
