Ralph W. Wallace

Rocky Mount - Ralph W. Wallace, Jr., age 68, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015. Born in Wake County, NC on July 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Ralph W. Wallace, Sr. and Louise Rowland Wallace. Ralph proudly served six years in the Army Reserve. He owned and operated Rocky Mount Opticians, serving the community for over 50 years. He was a wonderful, husband, dad, and papa. He was a member of Enfield Still Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also loved searching for and collecting Indian Artifacts and loved outdoors. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of calling him their family or friend. Ralph leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Judy Preast Wallace; his sons, Brent Wallace and wife, Sarah; Ashley Wallace and wife, Melissa; his daughters, Dana Severini and husband, Billie; and Gina Fryar. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Janie, Blake, Ava, Logan, Chandler, Morgan, Lexie, and Brayden. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Dr. Billy Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.   9. Hi my name is Kayla and I am a local bible teacher. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. There is a very comforting scripture at Isaiah 258. It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can all look forward to a time when death will be no more. I hope that this scripture can bring some true comfort during these difficult times.
