Shirley Jean Parham Boone

ROCKY MOUNT - Shirley Jean Parham Boone, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on November 19, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Samuel J. Parham and Estelle Andrews Parham. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lloyd G. Boone; daughter, Cindy Dominy; brothers, Edward Parham, William Parham; and sisters, Florence Parham Gorham and Mary Parham Denton. Shirley was a 1955 Blackbird and a graduate of Rocky Mount Senior High School. She was a retired bookkeeper. Shirley was a lifelong member of Church of the Good Shepherd. A devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Shirley will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten. Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Maria Boone. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Bill Parham, Sam Parham, Donna Thomas, Karl Parham, Ann Henderson, Anita Sauer, and Zack Parham. A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Church of the Good Shepherd, 231 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount with the Rev. Matthew Johnson officiating. The Inurnment Service will follow the Celebration of Life at the Church's Columbarium. Visitation with the family will follow the Inurnment Service in the Fellowship Hall of Church of the Good Shepherd.
