Peter William Friedrich

ROCKY MOUNT - Peter William Friedrich, age 76, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018. Born in Queens County, NY on March 9, 1942, he was the son of the late Harold Friedrich. He was a truly loving and faithful husband, dedicated father, exemplary grandfather, and devoted friend. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. He loved and enjoyed riding with his wife and his motorcycle family. Peter was commonly referred to as "The Sainted Father-In-Law", because he could do no wrong according to his daughters-in-law. His family believes that there are three words to describe him, hardworking, protective and compassionate. He never gave up on anyone or anything and will be truly missed. Peter leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 47 years, Laura Schlener Friedrich of Rocky Mount; daughter, Diana Friedrich Hutson and her husband, Shane of Nashville, TN; sons, Chris Friedrich and his wife, Mickey of Spring Hope, Jason Friedrich and his wife, Audrey of Rocky Mount, Peter Friedrich and his wife, Jennifer of Fayetteville. He is also survived by grandchildren, Christine, Jason, Robert, Adam, Ryan, Shannon, Kimberly, Justin, Ashley, Kathryn and Cody. He will also be remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
