Edna was the embodiment of a true Southern lady. She and Pete raised their family in Rocky Mount NC where she was an active and vital member of the community.
She lived each day with grace and elegance. She found her strength in her faith and was an active member of First United Methodist Church. Fondly remembered are the beautiful ornaments that she handmade and were proudly displayed in the sanctuary during the Christmas season.
She enjoyed bridge, sewing, her book clubs and spending time with her close friends. And for those most fortunate to know, Edna she was an awesome cook.
She will be greatly missed by her family and will be forever in our hearts.

Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
For the last 2 12 years, I have played the piano every Wednesday afternoon in the Seay Wing of Springmoor Retirement community. Edna never missed a music session. Although we rarely conversed, we exchanged hugs after each session and I know she enjoyed hearing the older tunes I played. I will miss her as I know you all will. Most Sincerely…. Barbara Rudnicki
john and andy, and all of your family members. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I have known your family since 1957 when my family moved to rocky mount and lived behind yours for 5 years. your mother really put up with a lot with all the kids that played at your house back then. my mother passed last September, and I still think about her and my father everyday. we were so lucky to have had the parents we had. take care, and maybe I will both of you in the future. steve morgan
My condolence to the family & friends of the deceased. At this time of loss, treasure fond memories & find comfort now & always, within Gods word, the Bible. (2 Cor. 13, 4) God who cannot lie (Titus 12), promises mankind a resurrection hope (John 528, 29) & a time when mourning or death will be no more. (Rev. 21 3, 4) What a comforting hope we have been given.
