RALEIGH - John Foster Hutchison, age 37, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Born in Augusta, GA on March 24, 1983, he was the son of Lea Haggerty Barbee and Carlton A. Hutchison. Foster was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John Joseph Haggerty Jr. and Mary Mildred Lea Haggerty of Rocky Mount; paternal grandparents, Carlton and Eleanor Hutchison of Sharon, PA; and aunt, Barbara Haggerty of Rocky Mount. In addition to his parents, Foster leaves behind to cherish his memory, his stepfather, Butch Barbee of Sims; stepmother, Sandra Hutchison of Cashiers; brothers, Layne H. Hutchison and friend, Mindy, of Asheville and Hayden A. Hutchison of Augusta, GA; uncles, John J. Haggerty III and wife, Debbie, and Kurt M. Hutchison and friend, Shirley; aunts, Mary Bruce H. Ricks and husband, Robert, Anna H. Branch and husband, Vaughan, and Heather Beeman and husband, Robert; cousins, Mary Burton R. Lewis and husband, Todd, John J. Haggerty IV and wife, Kandy, Shepard Haggerty and wife, Kim, Michael Beeman, Jeffrey Beeman, Emily Hutchison, Katie Hutchison, and Rebecca Hutchison. A Private Family Celebration of Foster's Life will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church in Wilson with Father Jeffrey Bowker celebrating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Foster's memory be made to St. Therese Catholic Church, 700 Nash Street NE, Wilson, NC 27893, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of one's choice.
