William “Bill” Louis Moss, Jr.

ROCKY MOUNT - William "Bill" Louis Moss, Jr., age 77, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Born in Pheobus, VA on September 7, 1943, he was the son of the late William Louis Moss, Sr. and Dorothy Patterson Moss. He was also preceded in death by his son, Brian Keith Moss; and brother, Jesse Phillip Moss. Bill served in the United States Army working in communications for three years. He was an avid golfer and loved traveling to mountains two or three times a year. Bill loved his community very much and he never met a stranger. Bill is survived by his wife of 20 years, Debbie Brown Moss; his sons, Donnie Pittman, Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Whitakers, Dale Pittman and wife, Amy, of Rocky Mount; his daughters, Tammy Williams of Rocky Mount, Kerbi Boyd and husband, Chris, of Nashville; his grandchildren, Morgan Pittman, Dale Pittman, Jr., Chole Pittman, Bella Boyd, Charlie Boyd, Taylor Blandin, Leland Blandin; brothers, Joseph E. Moss and wife, Patricia, Johnny Grey Moss, Smiling Jack Moss and wife, Faye; and sister, Dorothy "Jean" Outlaw. A Graveside Service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Pastor Gerald Parker officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
