Bedie Ward Woodcock

Bedie Ward Woodcock, age 91, went to be the Lord on Friday, December 6, 2013. Born in Lumberton on April 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ransom Ward and Ola Ward Benton. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Lovell. She was a resident of Rocky Mount for over 60 years and a charter member of Christ Fellowship Church. Bedie worked the medical field most of her career. She leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, Tony Woodcock of Charlotte, NC and Barry Woodcock and wife Sheila of Garner, NC; one grandson, James Lovell; two sisters, Doris Delk and Kay Easom of Hope Mills, NC; and two brothers, Benny Benton of Dunn, NC and Michael Benton of Raeford, NC. A funeral service to remember Bedie will be held at 1:00pm Monday, December 9, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Peede officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm prior to the service. Burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
