Mrs. Craft was my fourth grade teacher at Stocks Elementary School in Tarboro, NC, in the l950’s . And she remains my FAVORITE teacher. She was wonderful, and I thought beautiful. I can close my eyes and still picture her standing on the playground in the gray alpaca coat her husband had sent her from overseas. She promised me she would give it to me, when I grew up. ) I always wanted to see her again, but that didn’t work out. I have never forgotten her and hope she received the note I sent her after her husband passed away. You all have my sincere sympathy. Jeanette Pollard Cain, Tarboro, N.C.
