Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Tracy and Tammy (and family of Gerald), you are in our thoughts and prayers. Your dad kept us in stitches with his jokes and happy attitude. What a wonderful man! He was so giving of his time. He was a great mechanic and was teaching me how to tune up my lawn mower. We are all very rich from having his impact in our lives! I miss him already.

  2. I remember Gerald always had a smile on his face and usually a funny story to tell. I served with Gerald in the NC National Guard in the 1970’s or ’80’s. He was a nice guy.

  3. Gerald will be missed more than you know. We will miss his smile and jokes on Monday nights when be got together and played Nichols at Toni’s. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time. Just remember Gerald is now another flower for the Lord’s bouquet.

  4. I served in the North Carolina National Guard, the 1130th Aviation Battalion; from about 1984 to 1991. I liked Gerald, he was an affable, friendly man who enjoyed his service. I’m sure he’ll be missed by other friends and family.

  5. I have fond memories of Gerald back when I worked full time and was in the National Guard with him as a helicopter mechanic. He was always quick with a story and he had a positive influence over me as a young man. I worked with him for over 13 years and I have many wonderful memories. May God give peace and comfort to his family. RIP Gerald, looking forward to seeing you again on the other side.

  6. My buddy of over thirty years will be missed. My prayers are with his family during this time. Be blessed 🙏🙏🙏

  7. I’m going to miss Gerald so much! He knew everything about anything and always made me laugh. He was always very kind and I enjoyed and will treasure every minute we spent together on a bar stool at the moose lodge. The best thing is I will see him again when I join him in everlasting life. Prayers and love to the family, Glenda Hobson.

  8. I am so very sorry for the loss of Gerald. He was the first person I met at the moose. He was a very sweet and kind man. My heart aches for his children and family. Gone way to soon. I pray God will give you comfort at this sad time in your life. He will not be forgotten my all who knew him. RIP Gerald.💔🙏

  9. Dear Tracy and Tammy, I have just learned of your father’s passing and would like to offer my heartfelt condolences. Gerald — or Lyle as he was known to me — and I had many good times growing up. Your grandfather and my dad (James Brown) were like brothers, so our families spent a great deal of time together when Lyle and I were young. He was a little older than me, so I always looked up to him. In fact, I just viewed the video and cannot adequately tell you the flood of wonderful memories it brought back for me. I know you are heartbroken as so many others are that knew your dad. He was a fine man in every sense of the word, and I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. Steve Brown
