NASHVILLE - Helen Williams Chapman, age 79, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on September 5, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Lacy Henry Williams and Ruby Messer Williams. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Garland Williams; sister, Shirley Jean Jones; and granddaughter, Jessica Lenae Chapman.
Helen leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 60 years, Jimmy Ray Chapman, Sr.; son, Jimmy Ray Chapman, Jr. (Tammy Hudson Chapman), grandson, James Harvey Chapman (Terin Rhodes Chapman), great-granddaughter, Payton Dawn Carroway, grandson, Christopher Neal Chapman (Tiffany Turnage Chapman), great-grandson, Parker Neal Chapman; son, Larry Ray Chapman (Jackie Stallings Chapman); son, Donnie Wayne Chapman (Marie Brake Chapman), granddaughter, Christen Heather Chapman, great-granddaughter, Malena Grace Chapman, grandson, Justin Wayne Chapman; daughter, Tracy Darlene Chapman, granddaughters, Hannah Marie Denton and Hailey Nicole Denton. She is also survived by a brother, Larry Williams (Darlene); and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Vernon Potter officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
