Red Oak - Archie Levy Driver, age 90, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Born in Nash County, NC on April 17, 1926, he was the son of the late Lonnie David Driver and Tempie Bone Driver. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Driver; step-daughter, Margaret Pittman; brother, William David Driver, Sr.; and sisters, Lula Bell Boone, Margie Leonard, Annie Mae Griffin, Irene Fisher, and Kathleen Styers.
Archie loved deer hunting and gardening. His family and friends will always remember his love of cooking and sharing his food and love with everyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Archie leaves behind to cherish his memory, sister, Nellie Perry; brother, L. D. Driver; step-daughters, Debbie Livingston and Phyllis Hatchel; a special nephew, David Griffin; a special step-granddaughter, Nicole Piner, and special step-niece, Cindy Garcia.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Red Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services and other times at the home of Nellie Perry, Red Oak Battleboro Road.
