Billy was a good friend and we had many great memories from high school era. My condolences, Mr. Odom and Donna and family. I’m sorry for your loss and the loss to all who knew and loved Billy.
Even though it has been 40+ years since I’ve seen Billy, I have very fond memories of him back in high school. Even at a young age, he was like an old soul, so kind and gentle. I’m sure that he will be dearly missed by those who had the wonderful opportunity of crossing paths with him during his life.
To Donna and the Odom family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Billy will live on in our hearts forever.

Donna I am so sorry I know you will miss your brother ! Your such a good sister ! He was a great guy I still see him as I remember him in high school ! I I know this must be a tough time for you & your dad .
Billy was a great friend, always loved exchanging ideas with him about anything. He was most intelligent and intuitive. What a wonderful person to know.
To The Family I am sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. Losing a love one brings us great sadness. But God’s word the Bible bring us great comfort. At 2 Cor 13,4 states in part The father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort and verse 4 who comforts us in all our trails. Jehovah is here to support you and the entire family because he care.
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to your family for the loss of your loved one, William. The Bible gives us comfort at Isaiah 258 where God makes this wonderful promise to swallow up death forever. Like a suffocating envelopment-a blanket-sin and death have weighed heavily on mankind. God assures his people that sin and death will be swallowed up, or removed, from all the earth. May you find comfort in this promise from God’s word the Bible.
Prayers for your family
I am so sorry to hear of Billy’s passing. I was a fellow reporter on the staff of the Wilson Daily Times with him in the early 1980s. He was a very engaging, funny and talented person…and a great writer. I remember that he won several writing awards. I am so sorry for your loss.
I worked with Billy and considered him a good friend. We talked a lot about books and writing. I moved and we lost touch. I often looked for him, though never could connect. I am so sad to see this news. It appeared he died of cancer. Does anyone have a physical or email address for his wife Margaret
