Warren “David” Barwick

Warren "David" Barwick, age 64, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017. Born in Newport News, VA, on September 2, 1952, he was the son of and is preceded in death by his parents Grady Barwick and Norma Ezzell Barwick. David was a man of faith. His love for God and his church family was unshakable. David was a loving son, husband, father and family man. David's daughter, Tammy, touched his heart and she was loved and adored by him. He considered her to be his own. He enjoyed fishing as well as watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed a great deal of ME-TV Vintage Classics. You could also find him hanging out at the Man Fort with his son-in-law, Josh. David leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 30 years, Mary Jo Staton Barwick; daughter, Tammy Harrell Malinowski and her husband, Josh of Rocky Mount; sisters Barbara Morris of Toana, VA and Sheryl Newcombe of Snowhill; brother Glenn Barwick of Mount Olive. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Amy Degano, Christel McKinney, Keesha Kast, John Haley, Jim Haley and Allen Barwick. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Northside Community Church, 1660 Beaver Pond Road, Rocky Mount, NC with Pastor Mark Pridgen officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Northside Community Church.
