ROCKY MOUNT - Wallace Calvin Mosley, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on July 27, 1940, he was the son of the late N. G. Mosley and Daisy Wallace Mosley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Earl Mosley, Grady Mosley, Donald Ray Mosley, Millard Mosley; sisters, Ruth Mosley Ryals, Velma Mosley Burnette, Vernell Mosley Fuller, Col. Magnolia Mosley, and Frances Mosley Winstead.
Wallace was retired after 33 years of dedicated service with UPS. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a very active member of the Rocky Mount Shrine Club. He was a loving husband, father, and friend and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
Wallace leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 54 years, Joan Riley Mosley; son, Gary Mosley of Rocky Mount; brother, Wilbur Mosley; sister, Emily Jo Mosley Edwards; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Wallace's Life will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Brandon Dees officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

Sorry to hear about Wallace’s passing. What a Super Guy! When I worked with him at UPS back in the early 70’s I sold him an old shot gun. Years later when I would drive up from Florida to the Boseman Pig Picken I would see Wallace and he would tell me that was the best gun he ever had!
