  1. jean sorry here about your mom. she had a long life. may she rest in peace. she loved nursing. your childhood neighbor and classmate of 1971.

  2. Wow 101 years! 101 years of a wonderful, caring and giving life. Jinx is the only person that I have personally known who reached the magic century mark. Just amazing.
Jinx meant so much to my family. I remember as a little boy how very kind she was to me, always trying her best to help me overcome my shyness. My mother, Toni Suiter and she were great friends. Mother thought that Jinx “hung the moon.” She was a mentor to my sister Antoinette, helping her as she pursued a career in nursing and for decades Jinx was the office nurse for my father, Dr. Thomas B. Suiter. She was the friendly face who greeted each and every patient with warmth and caring, making everyone feel special. Going into a doctor’s office sick and scared can be very daunting but Jinx was always there, reassuring, optimistic and treating everyone with kindness and respect. My Dad often told me that Jinx made him a better doctor. She set the example of what a nurse should be.
Jinx lived a long and full life. She was loved and admired. She was loyal and such a good friend to so many.
Virginia Glasgow was a remarkable woman. It is a blessing to have known her.
