Victor Michelle "Mickey" Hall

ROCKY MOUNT – Victor Michelle “Mickey” Hall, age 85, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025.  Born in Nash County, NC on February 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Wade Hampton Hall and Blanche Edge Hall.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Wilton Horace “Bill” Hall.

Mickey was a man of deep faith and devotion, a long-time member of Battleboro United Methodist Church, and more recently attended Harvest Baptist Church. From a young age, he developed a love for music and took piano lessons, a passion that remained with him throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard as a member of the infantry. A dedicated Mason, Mickey was a member of Queen City Lodge No. 602 and had attained the esteemed title of District Deputy Grand Lecturer. He also had a heart for craftsmanship and woodworking, even building one of his own homes. His strong work ethic was evident through the years: in his early career, he worked as a milkman, then as the well-known local bread man during the mid-1980s. Later, he transitioned into a successful career in insurance sales, where he served families for 10 to 15 years. Mickey loved his Harley-Davidson and found great joy in riding. He also loved spending time in the mountains, which brought him peace and enjoyment. He valued health and wellness, spending countless hours at the YMCA, where he enjoyed swimming, weightlifting, and staying active.

Mickey is survived by his wife of 34 years, Vickie Ezzell Hall; his sons, Kevin Hall and wife, Lisa and Scott Hall and wife, Janice; his grandchildren, Sarah Beane, Matthew Hall, Rachel Hall, Megan Hall, Emily Hall, Abby Hall Boykin, and Molly Hall; his great-grandchildren, Alex Alvarez, Liam Pittman, Jaxon Pittman, Isla Hall, Kinley Moser, Bryson Boykin, and Conner Boykin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Mickey’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Tim Whichard officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.  Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
