May God bless the family members of this fine man. Mr. Vick always had a gentle smile for everyone. He was a great example of a true Christian. Let his memories flood your hearts and strengthen you as a family at this time.
What a wonderful man Tom was. He will truly be missed..My thoughts & prayers are with the family..Love, Frances Daughtridge
I extend my condolence to the Vick family. I never met Thomas but I work with his son, Larry Vick, who is a good man. I know that Larry’s best qualities can be attributed to Thomas because I really believe that great fathers impart great qualities to their children just as my late father also did for me. In this way, I was touched by Thomas’s life through his wonderful upbringing of Larry Vick who I admire and enjoy working with. God bless, may His comfort be with the Vick family in this time of bereavement. I pray that the memories of Thomas will always be with you all and that everyone truly cherishes them in honor of his life.
Tony, Sorry to hear about your father. Please know your family is in our prayers.
Tony, my deepest sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your father. May the Peace of Christ and the Hope of the promised resurrection comfort you.
He was a giant in his faith, yet humble to the core. He loved and encouraged me as a silly teenager. I have fond memories of playing volleyball behind the Ruitan Clubhouse-of which he was a part. His laugh was contagious and frequent. We exchanged Christmas cards long after I grew up and moved away-his always including a personal family update. Only the Lord knows how many lives he was used to touch over the years. Much love and prayers to his family as I know he will be missed. In His love, Luanne Smith Taylor
What a tremendous example of true friendship was Tom Vick. He and my Dad, Sammy Shoaf, were best friends from Basic Training in World War II for the rest of their lives. They were best man for each other and their families enjoyed great times together. A call from Tom always made my Dad’s day. Being together on their trips were the highlight of many years. They were like David and Jonathan in the Scripture for they both strengthened his hand in God, 1 Samuel 2316 and loved him as his own soul, 1 Samuel 2017. Tom will be greatly missed in our family but we know he is with his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Tony, Edwin and Larry and families – we will keep you in our prayers.
I loved Mr. Tom Vick, and will always be thankful for the Godly example that he set for me while at Stoney Creek Baptist Church many years ago. Praying for God’s peace, comfort, and strength for the family in the days ahead.
We were so saddened today to learn of Tom’s passing….he was a good man. His wife Verdie was a best friend to Bill’s mother, Evelyn McDonald,…..both were such fine private duty nurses. Tom and Verdie were always friendly and had a good sense of humor.
