Robert Sterling Earhart

Robert Sterling Earhart, known as Sterling, dressed in his tuxedo, left this world in a hurry to meet the Lord on Thursday February 13th. Sterling was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 27, 1992 with arms outstretched ready to take on the world. He was a great “big” brother to his siblings and loved them all very much. Sterling was very goal oriented and accelerated his education through homeschooling, graduating from Liberty University at the age of 19. A year later, he started law school at the Ave Maria School of Law, where he was truly in his element. Sterling touched the lives of an incredible number of people in his short lifetime - he never met a stranger. His outgoing personality, captivating, friendly, infectious smile and his uncanny way of reaching out to people will be his legacy. His love, joy, passion and intentionality for relationships was from an outpouring of the holy spirit in him and was infectious to all. Sterling was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wellbird R. Turner, Jr. and cousin Krystal Strother. He is survived by his parents Marcia Pearl Turner Earhart and Robert Scott Earhart and siblings: Marc, Jon, Victoria-Scott and Steele Earhart, and grandparents: Jean Turner, Brandt Earhart, Sr. and Joan Earhart and Aunts and Uncles: Bob and Denell Strother, Ron and Sally Turner, Leigh Samuels, Brandt and Danielle Earhart, Jr., Steve and Jean Earhart, and Jeff Earhart and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and the Digiovanni family. Please come to his Life Celebration and share in the memorial.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4th at 2:00 PM at the Summit Church, 2335 Presidential Dr., Durham, NC 27703. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00pm to 1:30pm prior to the service. There will be a celebration afterwards with food and drink. In lieu of flowers, Sterling would have wanted contributions to go to the Pro-life organization of your choosing or St. Matthews House, 2601 Airport Pulling Rd S, Naples, FL 34112 which provides housing for the homeless and food for the needy while equipping them with life skills.
