Nashville – Randall “Randy” Boone Baker, age 69, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 12, 2025.  Born in Nash County, NC on May 28, 1956, he was the son of the late Homer T. Baker and Julie Bloomer Baker.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jamie Baker.

Randy was a devoted husband, loving father, and man of unwavering integrity.  His dedication to excellence will be his lasting legacy.  Randy will be greatly missed.

Randy is survived by his wife, Linda Milham Baker; his children, Dan Baker and wife, Cassandra, Kimberly Joyner and husband, Chris, and Christie Baker; his grandchildren, Tanner Baker, Landen Baker, Bryson Rackley, and River Joyner; his siblings, Wanda Joyner and husband, Steve, and Eddie Baker and wife, Tammy; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and good friends.

A Special Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sandy Cross Methodist Church, 3725 Sandy Cross Road, Nashville, NC  27856.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Randy’s memory to Sandy Cross Methodist Church, 3725 Sandy Cross Road, Nashville, NC  27856.

  6. Randall has been a long time friend. I new his Dad and mom and brother. I moved from Sandy cross many years ago but old friends never part. He will be missed.l live in Tennessee now.

  7. Randall and I grew up at Sandy Cross and worked together for years at Nash General Hospital. Randall was a hard working man and always so kind and polite. Praying for the family God gives you peace knowing he is not suffering any more. God be with you now and the days to come.

  8. I knew Randy while working in security NGH. We became good friends and had a lot conversations together. He was a very smart and knowledgeable man. my prayers are with the family.

  9. I never met a nicer fellow than Randall. He was very smart and he would never let anyone out work him. I worked with him at Vidant Medical Center and he taught me so much about plants and irrigation. It was both an honor and a pleasure to work with him and have him as a friend. He was a fine Christian man and I loved him for always lifting me up and making my day pleasant. Everyone liked him, he was just that kind of guy.
