Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
I have known Ward since the 1980’s when I was in the Jaycees. He would stop by Dillon to buy shovels for his business and we would talk. We would see him at Hardee’s during the breakfast hours on Sunday’s. I just saw him at Mrs. Thurman’s funeral this past Saturday. I know that they will have a lot to talk about now that both are in heaven. The ducks at Rocky Mount Memorial will miss him and I will too. Paul Lucas
Dearest Kim, Pat, Kelly, Caroline, We are thinking of you and your family at this difficult time and praying for God’s comfort. You are all loved and we trust that God will carry you through. With much love, The Johansons
My wife and I met Ward & Sue thru the Allied Masonic Degrees and grew to love both of them quickly, we were shocked when Sue passed suddenly and heartbroken. We saw Ward continue to live and do all he could to stay active and upbeat in his day to day life, he always kept a full agenda and never faultered in any duty assigned him, a true man of class and dignity. The last time we saw Ward was last month, my wife and I had the pleasure of sitting at his table for our AMD (Allied Masonic Degree) quarterly meeting, he shared a story about a driving incident Sue once had and we all shared a laugh as we always did in his company. The last thing I got from Ward was my 2015 AMD card in the mail and as always he was doing his job. I will miss his kind and gentle ways, he was truly a gentleman in every aspect of the word but I am rejoicing that he is once again with Sue catching up and rejoicing being in the presence of our precious Lord and Savior.
Every time I saw Ward he had a smile and a kind word. Janice B. Smith
