We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this unprecedented situation. ROCKY MOUNT - Peggy Williams Marks, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on September 6, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Van Hobson Rogers and Lula Catherine Davis Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Williams, Sr. and C. J. Marks; son, Terry Williams; and sister, Maude Ellis. Peggy leaves behind to cherish her memory, children, Willard Williams, Jr. of Rocky Mount, Randy Williams of Emerald Isle, Debbie Whitley and husband, Randy, of Rocky Mount, and Darlene Hale and husband, Jim, of Edenton. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer Lacey, Crystal Hale, Mandy Wethington and husband, Travis, Austin Hale and wife, Niki, and Courtney Whitley; great-grandchild, Tristyn Wethington; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Luke Lunceford officiating. Burial will follow the service at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elm City. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
