Peggy Crocker Goff

October 8, 1931 ~ February 2, 2017

ROCKY MOUNT - Peggy Crocker Goff, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Born in Martin County, NC on October 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ottis Crocker and Elizabeth Haislip Crocker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Brodie Goff. A woman of great faith, Peggy was a longtime member of North Rocky Mount Church of God where she served as the church Sunday school secretary for over 30 years. Her dedication to faith and love for children will be most remembered from her 38 years spent caring for many inside the daycare center at North Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Peggy was the center of strength for her family as well as her church family. Many will remember her signature mayonnaise cake, which was a delight to everyones liking. A wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all, Peggy will be forever loved and missed. Peggy leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Billy Goff and wife, Kay, of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Tracy Brame and her husband, David and Marsha Barrow and her husband, Danny; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Barrow; brothers, Fred Crocker and wife, Mary, Herbert Crocker and wife, Gloria, and Donald Crocker and wife, Ellen; a sister, Ruth Crocker Cantrell; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, with Pastor Jerome Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to North Rocky Mount Church of God, 2413 Goldrock Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
