CHARLOTTE - Molly Boseman Bailey, age 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. Born in Rocky Mount, NC on November 8, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William David Boseman and Della Bulluck Boseman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joshua Reese Bailey; and brother, Robert Ricks Boseman.
Molly grew up on the Boseman farm in Rocky Mount. She attended Salem College from 1941 to 1945 and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. The core group of college friends that were formed during those difficult WWII years would become affectionately known as the "Salem Girls" for almost 70 years. Besides traveling the world with her husband Reese and with her Salem Girls, Molly enjoyed family trips to Wrightsville Beach, volunteering at the city schools in Rocky Mount and playing bridge with numerous bridge clubs in Rocky Mount and Charlotte. She enjoyed her churches and friends in Dallas, TX and Rocky Mount as well as her new friends at Sharon Towers in Charlotte.
Molly leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, James William Bailey and wife, Karen, and Philip Reese Bailey and wife, Sarah. She is also survived by grandchildren, Patrick Thomas Bailey and wife, Alexandra, Joshua Reese Bailey II, Katherine Forehand Reynolds and husband, Dylan, and Eleanor Forehand Cochrane and husband, Gabe; and great-grandchildren, Kate and Hollis Cochrane.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 3:00 PM at The First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, followed by a Reception at Benvenue Country Club from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Molly was a dear friend. We reared our children together in the Methodist church. Molly was always gentle, wise and I never knew her to be wrong. What a wonderful memory. Jane played with Jim in the band, he on the sax and she on the flute. Then College took them in different paths but with lovely memories.
