Miriam Mayo Learn

Miriam Mayo Learn, 56, passed away on January the 8th, 2015. She was born in Rocky Mount, NC on October 25th, to the late Jesse Claude Mayo Jr. and Carolyn Fay Reynolds Mayo. Besides her father, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Mayo Smith. Mimi was raised in Rocky Mount and attended Rocky Mount Academy, as well as The Art Institute of Atlanta for post-secondary education. She loved all animals, especially horses and her dog Abbey, who was her best friend and loyal companion. Mimi had a great amount of care and admiration for her family and friends and was loved by many. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Devin Mayo Learn, her husband, Richard Thomas Learn and her mother, Carolyn Fay Reynolds Mayo. A service will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd on Tuesday, January, 13th, 2015 at 2:00pm with Matthew Johnson officiating.   1. Mimi was a childhood friend of mine from Good Shepherd and our adolescent years. Growing up together in Rocky Mount, she was always friendly and kind to me. I will remember her this way.
