Mildred Rebecca Pope

ROCKY MOUNT - Mildred Rebecca Pope, age 74, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on September 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edwin Proctor and Ivy King Proctor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Jones. Mildred leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Edwin T. Jones and wife, Gina, of Rocky Mount; her son, Glenn S. Jones and wife, Darlene, of Greenville; her daughter, Kim L. Cobb and husband, Timothy, of Rocky Mount; her daughter, Robin L. Smith and husband, Carl, of Wilson; and her son, Jeffery A. Jones and wife, Teresa, of Southern Pines. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Spencer Jones, Melissa G. Cobb, Jennifer E. Carper, Danielle F. Smith, Erin L. Reynolds, Jeffery E. Jones, and Jessica R. Jones; six great-grandchildren, Timothy R. Holder, Preston B. Jobe, Cameron Smith, Dustin M. Reynolds, Chloe L. Casey, and Winston S. Carper; sister, Mary A. Harris of Tarboro; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services.
