BURLINGTON - Louise Vick Williams, age 89, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 in McLeansville, NC. Born in Nash County, NC on February 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Burton Vick, Sr. and Mary Ola Vick. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ernest Clayton Williams; and brother, E. B. Vick, Jr.
Louise graduated from Red Oak High School and was a dedicated wife and mother. She worked as a licensed cosmetologist for many years in Enfield. Louise was a longtime member of Enfield Baptist Church and later of Benvenue Baptist Church of Rocky Mount. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with family and taking trips with her daughters every year. She especially enjoyed her great grandchildren during the last several years while residing in the Burlington area.
Louise leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Vicki Craft and husband, Jay, of Gibsonville, NC; Patricia Tessnear and husband, Dr. Eddie Tessnear, of Wilson, NC; and Gail Hockemeyer and husband, Steve, of Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren, Jonathan Craft, Beth Hathcock, Erin Tessnear, Scott Hockemeyer, Laura Hockemeyer, and Alexa Hockemeyer; and four great-grandchildren, Wesley Craft, Wyatt Craft, Rileigh Hathcock, and Reese Hathcock.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield, NC. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Federation of the Blind of North Carolina for Wilson County, 202 Ridge Road, Wilson, NC 27896, Attn: Patricia Tessnear.

I was saddened to hear of Louise’s death. I remember her from Benvenue Baptist. She was a beautiful lady in every since of the word. Missed her so much when she had to move. Never forgot her sweet spirit and smile. My thoughts and prayers are with her family in their great loss. God bless.
