Larry Darnell Walker

ROCKY MOUNT – Larry Darnell Walker, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.  Born in Suffolk County, NY on March 18, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert Hayes and Donna Marie Walker Hayes.

Larry served his country in the United States Army for 14 years.  He was a man of great faith and a member of Dynamic Deliverance Cathedral.  Larry enjoyed cooking, playing reggae music, and watching movies.  He will truly be missed by his children, grandchildren, his first wife, Bridgette Walker, his second wife, LaKeisha Young, his brothers and sisters, and extended family and friends.

Larry is survived by his children, Shevon Walker, Brenton Walker, DeAndria Walker, Kyree Walker, Djwaall Walker, Danaijah Walker, and Amir Walker; his grandchildren, William English, Tailor Doxton, Dominick Skyes, Zeionna Skyes, and Lil man Gee; his step-mother, Shauna Hayes; his brothers and sisters, Scott Walker, DeAndria Walker, Sequiora Hayes, Christy Hayes, Jennifer Hayes, and Djwaal Hayes, Sr.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 11:30 AM at National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA  22172.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Larry’s memory to LaKeisha Young, Bridgette Walker or Shauna Hayes.
