Rocky Mount - Julia “Judy” Lancaster Proctor, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on February 4, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Lancaster and Mary Elizabeth Dawes Lancaster. Julia leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 43 years, William Proctor and her daughter Wendy Dawn P. Stokes and her husband, Keith, of Spring Hope, NC. She is also survived by two sisters, Donna Joyner and her husband, Charlie, of Rocky Mount and Joann Shearin and her husband, Carl, of Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount NC 27804. Flowers are accepted, but the family prefers memorials be made to American Cancer Society for cancer research, 930 B. Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
