Judith Cobb Mehle, 74, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013. She was born in Surry County, NC on March 10, 1939 to Gladys Sparrow Cobb and the late Alton Parks Cobb.
Judy was a life-long member of Battleboro United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir. She was a great mom who raised her children in a Christian manner. She enjoyed activities and her friends at Hunter Hills Nursing Center. She will be truly missed by her friends and family.
Left to cherish her memory, her mother, Gladys Sparrow Cobb of Wilson; daughter, Carole Mehle of Rocky Mount; son, Paul Mehle and wife, Elaine of Zebulon; brother, Parks Cobb and wife, Kitty of West End, NC; one grandson, Matthew Mehle of Zebulon.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30pm on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember Judy will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Battleboro United Methodist Church with Rev. Patrick Sinclair officiating. A committal service will follow at Battleboro Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hunter Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and the staff of Hospice who cared for her.
