  1. I so enjoyed getting to know Jane at lunch in the teachers’ lounge at Rocky Mount High School. Graciously sharing her wisdom about school, her students, her children, her grandchildren and about life, she kept us thoroughly entertained. We had some good laughs together in that lounge on the 100 hall! I also loved seeing her at DKG meetings after she retired. She was certainly a dedicated teacher. I feel very blessed to have know her.

  2. Mrs. White was my Typing teacher and taught me in Office Occupations Class. I learned skills that I used throughout my long career in banking. She was always very encouraging to me and I always appreciated her interest in me. I pray the Lord will comfort you during this difficult time.

  3. Susan and Gay, Like Diane and others, many of came to know and love Jane through that wonderful 100-hall teachers’ lounge. Not that we were lounging. It was the gathering place where we had lunches, asked questions, and came to know everyone’s families. Fifteen minutes a day really adds up over the decades. She gave us all support, shared her experience and knowledge, and laughed like there was no tomorrow. It was a bright day when we ran into each other when out and about, especially after she retired. What a mark she left on us. My only regret is that we cannot be there to see you in this new world of ours. 4. Susan and Gay, Don and I are sorry to learn of Jane’s passing. She was such a lovely lady and I always loved being in her company. Her long life was well lived and she will be missed by many, especially family. I am sorry that we won’t be able to share this time with you but please know that we are thinking of all of you and send our love and virtual hugs

  5. I’ve known Jane Gay White my entire life. My father, Bennie Taylor worked for her Dad, Jimmie Gay for years. She was always so very kind and quite a lady. Susan and Gay, I am so very sorry for your loss.
