Rocky Mount - James Robinson Logan (Jim), age 80, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015. Born in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late James Robinson Logan, Sr. and Doris Elizabeth McGrattan Logan. He was also preceded in death by his only child, Theresa (Terry) Logan King.
Jim was a retired naval officer with 26 years of active service and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Melanie F. Logan; brother-in-law, William Werner and his wife, Joyce; his granddaughter, Logan King Salisbury; his grandson, Kyle Taylor King; and his two nephews, Perry Werner and Chris Werner. He is also survived by his very "special family", Jean and Mark Edmonds and his special caregivers, Letisha and Mary.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 331 Hammond Street, Rocky Mount, with Father Tim Meares officiating. Visitation will be held following the Funeral Mass in the church vestibule.
