Henry Thomas Braswell

ROCKY MOUNT - Henry Thomas Braswell, age 67, left his earthly home and went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on February 3, 1950, he was the son of the late Henry Clay Braswell and Ruby F. Braswell. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Wayne Braswell, Michael Braswell, and Carol B. Lawrence. Henry leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 52 years, Emma Bunn Braswell; sons, William Henry "Bill" Braswell and wife, Angie, of Tarboro; Thomas Wayne "Tom" Braswell and wife, Heather, of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by grandchildren, Kristen Brooke, John William, Lyla Grace, and Alyssa Hope; uncle, John J. Braswell and wife, Carol, of Rocky Mount; sister, Pamela Williams and husband, John, of Alabama; brother, Norris Braswell and wife, Cindy, of Alabama; and brother-in-law, Tommy Lawrence of Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Henry Braswell's name to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Gideons International, P. O. Box 1851, Rocky Mount, NC 27802. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Proctor Family Cemetery on Cokey Road with Pastor David Taylor officiating.
