George Ronald Drake

ROCKY MOUNT - George Ronald Drake, age 74, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on November 16, 1943, he was the son of the late George Ollen Drake and Mary Sue Trevathan Drake. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Drake. George leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Bryan Drake and wife, Teresa, of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Ethan Drake and wife, Megan Droogsma, of Magnolia, TX, and Cody Drake of Magnolia, TX. He is also survived by sisters, Janice Drake Blanchette and husband, Tom, of Lubbock, TX and Sandra Drake Dunkley of Roxboro; and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Veteran Services (Local), 120 W.
