Frances Riddle Gay

ROCKY MOUNT - Frances Riddle Gay, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on November 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gilbert Riddle. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Riddle Gay. Frances Gay dearly loved her family and her church, West Haven Presbyterian, where she was a charter member. She enjoyed her church circle meetings, and never missed an opportunity to go shopping for antiques. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of nearly sixty-three years, Mack Lee Gay, Jr.; her daughter, Karen Gay Callaway, and her husband, Joseph Newton Callaway, II, of Winterville, NC; her daughter, Kimberley Gay Agnew, and her husband, Fred Jeffrey Agnew, of Gainesville, GA; her son, Mack Lee Gay, III, and his wife, Kristie Echols Gay, of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey Scott Agnew and his wife, Whitney, of Georgetown, TX; Joseph Newton Callaway, III, and his wife, Erin, of Falls Church, VA; Evan Benjamin Callaway of Santa Barbara, CA; Gay Anne Agnew Haynes and her husband, Landry, of Alpharetta, GA; Dayna Agnew Bennett and her husband, Jordan, of Cumming, GA; Elizabeth Corbett Gay of Raleigh; and Grace Caroline Gay of Rocky Mount; and one great-granddaughter. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Codington officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service.
