Evelyn S. Proctor

Rocky Mount - Evelyn Stott Proctor, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 24, 2015. Born in Nash County, NC on August 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late W. W. Stott and Zettie Bissette Stott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Callie Vernon Proctor; and her three brothers, Henry Stott, Grady Stott and Bobby Stott. Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Bailey Methodist Church. She worked at Rosenbloom Levy Department Store and helped with her husbands business, Proctor Son Electric. Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Lynne Proctor Speight and her husband, Rocky and her son, Rick Proctor and his wife, Toni, all of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by two sisters, Melba Smith of Raleigh, NC and Clara Carter of Supply, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 2:00pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount NC 27804 with Dr. Robin Fisher officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunset Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, 3732 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1130 N.
