ROCKY MOUNT – Eddie Wayne Waller, age 53, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He was born in Nash County, NC on May 5, 1972. He was preceded in death by his father, Olden Dean Waller.
Eddie was a man of remarkable talent, quiet strength, and deep love. A master craftsman in woodworking, his God-given gift turned raw materials into timeless pieces—each beginning with just one cut and ending in something truly miraculous. He was also an artist at heart, with a special gift for drawing that revealed the depth of his creativity. Whether sketching or shaping wood, Eddie created beauty with his hands. He loved all of his family very deeply. He had a passion for adventure and a love for speed—whether on the road or traveling somewhere new, fast was the only pace he knew. In recent months, Eddie experienced a powerful transformation, embracing a newfound faith in Christ that was nothing short of God’s grace at work. It was a blessing to witness and a testimony to the hope we have in Jesus. Eddie gave so much to so many, and his memory will live on through the work of his hands, every story shared, and heart he impacted.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Christy Waller; his children, Haley Walters and husband, Chris, Kayla Ward and husband, Garry Jr., and Austin Waller; his grandchildren, Millie Walters, Zeke Ward, and Colin Walters; his mother, Deanie Hamm and husband, Robert; his siblings, Shane Waller and wife, Kelly, Dawn Pilgreen and husband, Kris, and Bennie Baker and wife, Amber; his nieces and nephews, Hannah Davis and husband, Steven, Ramsey Pilgreen, Judah Waller, Finley Waller, and Scarlet Waller; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dogs, Zoe and Sophie.
A Celebration of Eddie’s Life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Redeemer Church, 940 N. Wesleyan Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Dr. Dayton Hartman officiating. A visitation will follow the service until 1:00 PM at the church.

Wesleyan Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, furthering the mission of the church Eddie came to love, including future property projects such as the building fund, playground for the kids, and other ministry needs that serve to impact generations to come.

To the Waller family: we stand with you in sorrow, and we honor your strength. Eddie’s spirit lives on in each of you, and we pray that the memories you carry will bring comfort and peace in the days ahead.
May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may we all strive to live with the same warmth, heart, and grace that he showed every day.
With deepest sympathy and love, the House family.
Eddie, we love you and will miss you so much.
Dear Wallet Family,
Soo sorry to see this. We are hurt. Eddie is with us every day. The beauty of his hands grace our home everyday. Eddie remodeled out kitchen, dining room, and cherry wood. Tommy Rose, another master craftsman did the stain work. Tommy would not take the job unless Eddie rebuilt the cabinets. Wow, Wow, Wow What a team. We get to enjoy the fruit of his hands every day that is a part of him and when we look at it, he and Tommy are with us.
He did love his family. On Mondays, he would tell us all about what you guys did the weekends and you could see the pride and the joy on face. So happy he accepted CHRIST as his Lord and Savior. GOD BLESS
