  3. Mr. Donald Pridgen was one of my best friends at Bunn High School. He was my lunch buddy, daily eating his pack of nabs and drinking his Pepsi. We shared many life stories, mostly bragging on our children and grandchildren. He was so proud of all of his family! After he retired, every couple of months he would make a trip to Bunn to check up on me and the guys in the shop, Steve Pace, Bob Frisbie, and Billy Longson. I think he missed us almost as much as we missed him. After I retired in 2013 we made a pact to get together a couple of times a year at The Outback in Rocky Mount or Fargo’s in Zebulon. The food was always good but not as good as our catch up conversations. I will miss my friend; I loved him. My sincere condolences to all his family. May the good memories and the love he had for all of you give you comfort and strength in the days, months, years ahead. Annette Privette
