Denise Cecile Ralston Woolard

Rocky Mount – Denise Cecile Ralston Woolard, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.  Born in Rochester, NH on September 15, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Lindsay Delano Baker and Darlene Mae Pierce Baker.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Keith James Ralston.

A beautiful soul through and through, Denise cherished spending time with her family.  She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family visiting the coast to fish.  A loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many, Denise will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Denise is survived by her husband of 37 years, Stephen “Steve” Charles Woolard; her sister, Melody Bumgarner (Wayne); her brothers, Randy Lynn Baker (Robin) and Lindsay David Baker (Michelle); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dearest friends.
