David Lee Harvey, age 75, passed away on November 25, 2014. Born in Detroit, Michigan on May 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Stephen A. Harvey and Ethel Browning Harvey. David was predeceased in death by his brother, Jim Harvey and a sister Caroline Morris and survived by a sister, Frances H. Lyles of Greenville, North Carolina. He is also survived by his former wife, Gwen R. Harvey, step children Derek Edwards and Kelly Edwards, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
David is a graduate of Littleton High school, Littleton, North Carolina and a college graduate of East Carolina, 1962. He also served his country and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Navy as a Lieutenant in 1968. In 1979, David served as President of the Rocky Mount Board of Realtors. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity of North Carolina. David retired as a certified General Real Estate Appraiser and also was a retired member of the Appraisal Institute as an MAI.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
