Darlene “Gayle” Smith

BATTLEBORO - Darlene "Gayle" Smith, age 70, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on July 14, 1947, she was the daughter of the late William Ennis Rowland and Della May Burgess Rowland. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tim Bulluck; brothers, Bobby Rowland and Ronald Rowland; and sister, Judy Rowland. Gayle was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family was her greatest love. Gayle leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Larry Smith; daughter, Tina Bulluck Joyner of Nashville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Taylor Joyner, Timmy Bulluck and David Bulluck; brother, Billy Rowland and wife, Christie, of Elm City; nieces, Tabitha Rowland and Jessie Jones; nephews, Dustin Wall and Chris Wall; along with family and friends. A Celebration of Gayle's Life will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Price officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
