ROCKY MOUNT - Connie Ray Baines Boseman, age 85, passed from this life to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on June 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Charlie David Baines and Millie Ganey Baines. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Joseph Boseman, Jr.; four brothers, Wiley, Joseph, Gray, and Jimmie Baines; and one granddaughter, Cathy Lynn Stevey.
Connie worked for Pillowtex Corp. for over 44 years. She loved her children, grandchildren, and all her family dearly. She loved and served the Lord faithfully.
Connie is survived by her son, Wadis D. Boseman and wife, Helen, of Sims; her daughter, Dinah Lou Stevey of the home; seven grandchildren, Daniel Boseman, David Stevey (Samantha), Christine Huff (Alan), Chrystal Walters (Anthony), Christopher Stevey (Terrie), Kevin Stevey (Jeannetta), Tasha Stevey; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Emily Baines of York, SC and Jeanne Baines of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Dale Hathaway officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

Connie was a very special woman of God. I have known her for over 50 years from Emanuel Holiness Church on Pine Street. You could expect to see her every time for every service, sitting on the same pew. I am so for the family’s loss. I know she will be missed. Praying for the family.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
