ROCKY MOUNT - Christine J. Morris, age 81, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on September 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Dawes Joyner and Della Mae Lindsey Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dallas G. Morris, Sr.; her grandchildren, Brian S. Morris and Dallas E. Morris; and her eight siblings. Christine is survived by her sons, Dallas G. Morris, Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Winston-Salem, Tony M. Morris and wife, Lynn, of Rocky Mount, and Mike A. Morris and Christina O'Donnell, of Rocky Mount; her daughter, Tina M. Hutsell and husband, Greg, of Atlantic Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Kennith E. Morris and wife, Tammy, April M. Neville and husband, Andrew III, Angela H. Price and husband, Ollie, Melody Alayon and husband, Grisham, Dallian T. Morris, April Best and husband, Dean, and Tabatha Burns and husband, Anthony, Chelsea Hutsell, Cailtin Hutsell, and Casey Hutsell; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Morris, Thorp Price, Andrew Neville, IV, Emerson Alayon, Braxton Twisdale, Bethany Best, Lylah Burnes, Kinley Burnes, and Raelyn Burnes, her brother, Milton Joyner; her sisters, Effie Cooley and Lois Taylor; her granddaughter-in-law, Nikki Morris. A Service to Celebrate Christine's Life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum with Rev. Mike Edmondson officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Nash County Animal Shelter, 921 First Street, Ext., Nashville, NC 27856.   3. Aunt Christine was LOVING and fun to be around….she was also high spirited……. I will always remember the Dec. 24 th get together I had and she was there with Senora,. Effie , Tom, MIlton…….we danced, Played cards, enjoyed food and time with each other…..that was a time in my life that was perfect and precious. So sorry for your LOSS, but a big gain for AUNT CHRISTINE cause she is with JESUS…….. LOVE AND PRAYERS VICKIE JOYNER GLOVER

  4. Mrs. Christine will be missed. Our next-door neighbor, she was kind to our young grandchildren and often offered a sweet treat when they stopped by. One visit I had with her, a few months ago, will be fondly remembered. She and I sang How Great Thou Art and other hymns in her living room. She told me of how she would not be able to make it without knowing Jesus as her Lord and Savior. We prayed together and it was such a special time. It brings me such peace to know I’ll see her again after this life.
