Guestbook

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. We all knew Brent at a young age and he was an incredible drummer and singer. Praying for your family during this difficult time.
    Donna Woodcock Price

  2. It is sad to hear about Brent’s passing. He was a great musician and a kind soul. I never heard Brent speak a bad word about anyone. He was the type of guy that could be counted on.

When I was a kid, I saw Brent as a rock star, envied to be like him, and looked up to him. I remember seeing him play the drums and sing in STA Express! And later we had fun working together on sound gigs and at the music store! I learned a lot from Brent and I wish we could have spent more time together, but I have some great memories!

    God bless his family.

  3. Fly high my friend. Thoughts and prayers for all the family during this time. Probably beating the drums for Meatloaf. 🥁🎶

  4. Who ever chose this picture is spot on. This is the way he always looked any time you saw him, with that happy smile. Drum on in heaven little drummer boy.

  5. Brent was always the same sweet guy he was in high school every time I would run into him. He always had a smile on his face and kind words to say whenever I happened to see him. I know he loved his children and his family and his friends. He was a great musician and he’s probably singing in Heaven now. May God’s grace be with you all during this difficult time.

  6. Dear Ms. Smith and the rest of the Brent Smith family,

I have known Brent since the 3rd grade at Williford School. Brent is one the original great guys. He always had a smile on his face and kind words. Though we had different interests, we always spoke when we saw each other around Rocky Mount whether shopping or in the earlier days, at the Clubs he was playing. I am so sorry for your loss. May God bring you Warmth and Solace as you remember times with Brent. Peace be with You.

    Sincerely,
    Mike Adams

  7. Brent is a friend who will be greatly missed by all the ones who knew him in the music world. Brenda and I are very sorry for your loss. May God Give you peace as only He can give in the days ahead.
    Dennis and Brenda Bailey

  8. Brent was a sweet cousin… When we were little we use to go upstairs at one of the houses they lived in and listen to him play his drums and play wipeout. He was so good on those drums. All of us cousins use to go to Grandmother Frederick’s house and eat at Christmas time and run in her yard too. Rocky Mount had so many concerts and you were their star singing and playing the drums at the same time. You were so talented. I always smiled and said thats my cousin. Those were beautiful memories ..You loved everybody. . Brent you are now with our Lord. No more diabetes and pain. We will see you again love Marla Frederick Hufton.
