I am so sorry I will not be able to attend services for Al. We will be with all of you in thought. Last night Virginia and Alex were both remembering the special moments they had with him when they were children.. Love, Jane and David Cowan
May God give you and the family strength and peace during this difficult time. He leaves behind many bright lights to shine and carry on his legacy. Arlene Spivey
I first met Al in May 1958, while we both were in school at the Institute of Government in Chapel Hill. During our carreeres our paths occasionally crossed. It was always a pleasant experience as I always thought we shared the same ideals. I last talked to Al at a function held when Ken Craft retired. I know each of you will sorely miss Al, but you can rest assured he made this world better in his life and actions. Regards to the Al family, John Kennedy N.C. Wildlife Officer, Retired
