NASHVILLE - April Leigh Harris, age 38, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on April 4, 1980, she was the daughter of John "Shorty" D. Harris, III and Millie E. Harris.
Along with her parents, April leaves behind to cherish her memory, brother, Rodney Harris and wife, Lori; uncles, Keith Dawes and wife, Patricia, Gene Dawes and wife, Debbie, Glenn Dawes, Robert Williams and wife Tracy; aunts, Ruby Costa, Barbara Jay; numerous cousins; and her furbaby, Bella.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation with the family will follow the service.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Mental Health America of Central Carolinas, 3701 Latrobe Drive, Suite 140, Charlotte, NC 28211.

I am so sorry Shorty, Millie, Rodney. April was like a daughter to me. She was always at my house a lot when they were kids especially teenagers and was there a lot for me since I been sick.
